SAMI'S STORY
About Sami
Sami Robertson didn’t mean to start a shoe company. He just wanted something to wear after freezing swims that didn’t look like hospital clogs.
Now he’s taken on some of the world’s toughest open water challenges, from the Strait of Gibraltar and the English Channel to completing the 20 Bridges Swim around Manhattan, and most recently crossing the Cook Strait. He’s also competed in the GB Ice Swimming Championships, testing both body and mindset in extreme conditions.
He’s not into fuss. He’s into function. Wildpool is what happens when you design for real people who don’t cancel swims just because it’s hailing.

Starting at Battery Park and covering a distance of 48.5km, Sami battled through shifting tides, swirling currents, and the notorious Hell Gate strait, passing beneath all 20 iconic bridges that circle Manhattan.
